A good case for learning accommodations. Medical and other Earth-saving uses for AI
Like almost everything, AI technologies are being put to objectively great (on a scale of being conducive to Life on Earth/ thrivability) uses by a few wonderful Humans. At the forefront of these are the use of AI for life-saving medical advancements, technologies created for regenerating Earth (so, also life-saving technology), and learning/living accommodations for those living with disabilities brought on through natural causes or external forces.
All across Humanity, many popular ideas are springing up which largely center on the belief that AI knows best. From allowing AI to invent strict ¨biohacking¨ lifestyle regimens like Bryan J. Johnson, to those who place their hopes in AI for coming up with some actually effective ¨new green deal¨ the premise is the same - in that same old ¨because I said so", AI knows best sort of way.
Giving vision to someone who has never seen? Bringing back animals we thought had disappeared forever? Regenerating entire dead zones in the Ocean? Speaking lost languages including entire concepts which have not been heard by Humanity for eons? The possible positive impacts of AI are innumerable and undeniable.
And also, when something appears too good to be true we must ask ourselves, ¨At what cost?¨. When, even in the most noble of hands, the development of said life-saving technologies are killing Earth faster than they can supposedly heal her, or killing our only home faster than it´s healing us, it's certainly not a good sign. Humanity seems to have willful amnesia when it comes to the many stories, ballads, and myths that have frequented our collective consciousness since before history, all specifically warning about this catch-22.
The catastrophic irreversible destruction of Earth and all of her creatures with AI
Much like the cryptocurrency ¨communities¨ there seems to be an almost intentional head-in-the-sand approach when it comes to supporters of widespread AI use, and the very real harm that its development is committing on Earth every day. Despite, and very much regardless of this willful ignorance, the development and production of AI technologies are wreaking havoc on Earth every day.
The excited masses who gather feverishly around the shiny new technology, fueling our pipe dreams with smoke and mirrors. Meanwhile, the few newcomers into circles of wealth via AI use scream from their soap boxes that, ¨You too, can win at this game!¨. Perhaps, if you feel not very connected to Earth, or otherwise too numb to feel, then it becomes infinitely easier to bargain away our only hopes for Life in exchange for the promise of a quicker email, more conversions, or for the type of lover you've only ever seen in pornos.
Sadly, and unsurprisingly, the major brunt of the poisoning of Earth and her creatures through the development of AI is disproportionately borne by those who are, or once were considered, to have less than a Human soul by the Abrahamic religions and their child: Manifest Destiny. IE: Indigenous Nations, people of color, women, animals, faith and income variants, and of course - Earth herself.
The terrible irony that the very communities who are barely surviving as it is are exactly the communities which folks like Elon Musk choose for setting up their AI-driven "future dead zones¨ cannot b understated....as it seems to be intentional - AI generation is preimptively and disporportionately destroying the very communities who will put their individual lives on the line to protect Earth from it. The true nature and purpose of AI is already revealing itself through its creation - our necessary destruction.
Original Instructions School's policy on the use of AI-generated content? We have been, and will continue to produce curricula and content which are in NO WAY AI-generated or "assisted".
Inherently, to outsource means to distance yourself and dissociate from. When we use GPS, our internal sense of direction becomes slightly less each time. Taking that all too accessible photo sends the message through our brain waves that the unique instance we've photographed is stored safely somewhere outside of ourselves, and therefore our natural impulses towards being present and remembering are denied. The dangerous implications when it comes to outsourcing our information, memories, ability to think, and biometrics to AI are terrifying, plain as having a death wish as a species.
As an educational institution, both in-person and online, we do not consent to the idea or concept that it is acceptable to feed, trade away, or otherwise input into AI mechanical organisms the ancient Human wisdom, Indigenous Earth technologies, Indigenous genetic information, or Ancestral memory. Regardless of the many shortcuts, and genuinely attractive possible functions of AI, Original Instructions School is fully committed to producing and administering Original (hence the school name, I suppose) content and experiences. While we have been stepping out of our comfort zone to provide education online with modern technology for nearly a decade, we know the difference - and draw the line - when it comes to AI.

UPDATED RESOURCES AS OF JULY, 2026
It's been nearly one year since we published this tiny blog post on the enormous, and ever present issue of AI technologies. Data centers continue to gobble up entire towns and bodies of Water with their insatiable appetite for Life, as the new global 'data gold rush' amps up amongst Humanity's elite.
The initial feeling of looming dread that sparked Original Instructions School's full-on bar against the use of any AI technologies for our course and curriculum building, email server, digital content, marketing, client communications, and any other part of Original Instructions School content has grown into a presently unfolding dystopian nightmare.
Since August of 2025, when this blog post was originally written, Original Instructions School has facilitated several long-distance certification trainings, written grant proposals, launched a new pre-recorded online (beginning) Spanish language course, published dozens of blog posts, poems, articles, emails, e-booklets, and other educational materials. Admittedly, my hands are sore at times from writing and typing, and I do wonder if my intense inability to trust AI is not just stubbornness. For, I have not completely unaffected over these past seasons, as the onslaught of promotional ads for AI technologies, and even colleagues or dear friends have urged me to lean into the integration of AI into Original Instructions School's offerings, projects, and proposals lest we be "left behind".
It's been surprising to see just how many people choose to believe the rationale that "AI can solve all of Humanity's problems and 'save' Earth", regardless of how much destruction AI has already caused to Earth and Humanity despite having the assumed potential to solve our ever more urgent collective problems. Or perhaps the massive popularity of AI 'arts' and 'relationships' within certain Neotribal and 'Star Seed' communities is merely a natural progression further down the path towards abandoning Earth completely in favor of 'rejoining the galactic federation' - another dangerous pitfall included within the colonial cosmology present within so many capitalistic new age communities who cosplay mastery of the art of being Human.
As we continue to dance through time and space towards our collective future, Original Instructions School remains dedicated to advocating for Earth and all of her Creatures through communing with our benevolent Ancestors and restoring collective as well as individual (pre-capitalism) Ancestral memory. We remain stead fast in our understanding that when we relate with Earth and her Plant Nations to heal ourselves we likewise mend Humanity's broken tapestry - working always towards when we again live in right relationship with Earth and Sky.
AI technologies are not included in, nor welcome within our Original Instructions School administrative or creative processes. Every day it seems somehow to become more difficult to not engage with AI 'virtual assistants', chatbots, or even to Google search something without immediately seeing only AI's synopsis and version of the search results. And yet, we will continue to opt out of AI at every turn.
