Recently, during an Herbalism Class - following a tiny tangente on the many outstanding benefits of Lionś Mane Mushrooms - an attendee asked a brilliant question. Their question was regarding any favorite stew recipes which incorpórate Lionś Mane Mushroom. Much like Lionś Mane, their question got my nueropathways all sparked up, and wanting to share my favorite stew recipe of all time.

´Feel your body´stew is not new, but instead is the SAME old recipe that´s been done a thousand million ways since Humanity began to cook with heat. This Recipe lives where somatic experience and relationship with Plant Nations meet.
Cooking with Lionś Mane:
Working with Lionś Mane Mushroom as our principal ingredient is exciting due to all of the wonderful proteín, amuno ácids, and other vitamins which Lionś Mane offers to our medicinal stew. For those who prefer not to eat meat, or else do not have any meat accessible to them, this is a delicious source of bio-available proteín.
In general, when cooking with Lionś Mane Mushroom, it can be helpful to remember to toast or slightly sear the Mushroom in a nutritive oil or fat base filled with seasoning. The texture of Lionś Mane Mushroom is very absorbent, and does not have a super strong flavor on their own. When seasoning, it can be helpful to do so until they are slightly golden brown and somewhat crispy - this will help to lock in the flavor/ texture.
Avoid over cooking Lionś Mane Mushroom. In a stew, it could help to season and toast the Mushrooms separately, and add them in within 10-15 minutes to the end of simmering the Stew.
