When you are not awarded a grant or outside funding, it can still be a wonderful opportunity to receive constructive feedback, and also to begin building your relationship with possible future funding opportunities and/ or applicable resources.

- Clearly profess your cause, as well as the solution(s) your proposal offers to the identified cause, early on in your proposal. If You do not catch your readers' attention early on it can be difficult to keep them engaged in your proposal.

We understand that the basic knowledge of how to recognize, interact with, and benefit from nutritive herbal medicine and foods that are readily available in your area is not the intellectual property of anyone but belongs to all Human Begins.
In order for Doulas to act as a true resource and advocate for mothers and their families we believe that they require at least a basic understanding of how to nourish, support and cleanse the female body in the same way our foremothers have for generations;
with the help of medicinal foods, teas, steams, and baths.
Will there be enough clients + income to support my Doula (or other Holistic Care) practice?
The many concerns and doubts surrounding the question of how to bridge the gap between your certification program and your thriving Doula practice are ever present in today's society, which implements the scarcity mentality on a daily basis.
Many times students of Doula, Herbalism, Midwifery, and other certification programs within the world of natural healing have difficulty finding a clear direction, and/or place within which to put their newly learned wisdom to practice. They can struggle to connect with their own diverse clientele or fail to find an apprenticeship/internship which meets their needs.
